Overview

Express Entry is Canada’s primary immigration system for skilled workers seeking permanent residency. Managed entirely online, it streamlines applications for three main programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Trades Program. Candidates are ranked using a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) based on factors like age, education, work experience, and language proficiency. The highest-scoring candidates receive Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residency. In 2025

Each province manages its own streams and criteria, targeting candidates who want to live and work in that specific region and become permanent residents of Canad

Process in Detail:

      1. Eligibility Assessment:
We evaluate your background and career goals to identify the best province and stream for your profile. Each province has unique requirements and may target specific occupations or skills.

      2. Choose Your Application Pathway:

        • Direct (Non-Express Entry): Apply directly to a province’s PNP stream. If nominated, submit a permanent residence application to IRCC.

        • Express Entry-Aligned (Enhanced): Create an Express Entry profile and indicate your province(s) of interest. If you receive a Notification of Interest (NOI), apply for provincial nomination. A successful nomination gives you 600 additional CRS points, almost guaranteeing an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for PR.

      3. Submit Expression of Interest (EOI) or Application:
Depending on the province, you may need to submit an EOI, which is ranked on a points-based system, or apply directly if you meet the criteria. Some provinces also select candidates directly from the Express Entry pool.

      4. Receive Provincial Nomination:
If selected, you’ll receive a provincial nomination certificate. For Express Entry-aligned nominations, update your profile to claim the extra CRS points.

      5. Apply for Permanent Residence:

        • Express Entry: Wait for an ITA, then submit your PR application online with all supporting documents.

        • Direct PNP: Submit your PR application to IRCC after receiving your nomination.

      6. Processing and Landing:
IRCC reviews your application. If approved, you receive Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) and can move to your nominated province as a permanent resident.

Frequently Asked Question

PNPs offer targeted opportunities based on your skills and experience, often with streamlined application processes and faster processing times. A provincial nomination adds 600 CRS points to your Express Entry profile, greatly increasing your chance of receiving an ITA for permanent residence

Eligibility depends on the province and stream but generally requires relevant work experience, education, language proficiency, and a genuine intention to live in the nominating province. Some streams target international graduates, entrepreneurs, or workers in specific occupations

Typical documents include a valid passport, language test results, Educational Credential Assessment (ECA), proof of work experience, job offer (if required), and proof of funds. Some provinces may request additional documents specific to their streams

You can express interest in multiple provinces through Express Entry, but you can only accept one provincial nomination at a time. Each province expects a genuine intention to settle in their region

Processing times vary by province and whether you apply through Express Entry or directly. Provincial nomination can take several months, while IRCC processing for PR after nomination typically takes 6–18 months, depending on the stream and completeness of your application. The Provincial Nominee Program is an excellent pathway for those who want to settle in a specific province, have skills in demand, or wish to benefit from a more targeted and sometimes faster route to Canadian permanent residency. Our team is ready to guide you through the complexities of each provincial program, ensuring your application is strong and your transition to Canada is smooth.
